Empowering the Lives of Our Nations Veterans Through Motorsports, Health, Wellness & Employment Opportunities.

OUR GOAL

Racing for Heroes provides the Veteran community new mission with a purpose and place to belong.
There are too many heroes who need a shoulder to cry on, a patient ear to listen and a hug to let them know they are not alone in their daily battle. We provide that space and we know the challenges, because many of us face them too.
Through our participation in research studies, the scientific community is proving that the excitement and adrenaline of racing, also helps Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) by improving neurological and emotional connections damaged by trauma.
Our health and wellness programs support Veterans ready to find alternatives to addictive drugs and self medications in order to better handle the challenges they face in civilian life.

ULTIMATELY, WE EXIST TO PREVENT VETERAN SUICIDE
We are an approved 501(c)3 Veteran Service Organization who asks for your support!

A POWERFUL MANTRA

"IF NOT ME, THEN WHO..."

Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left us with a simple but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all of us to live with character and put the interests of others before our own.

The inspiration for our foundation comes from its namesake. Dedicated to 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of his patrol in 2007, TMF carries on the legacy of selfless service and leadership embodied by Travis and all those who have served, or continue to serve, our nation.

Our Beginning

The Chris Krossing Foundation is named in loving memory after United States Army Staff Sergeant Chris Kiernan, who lost his life serving his country in Iraq. The Foundation president Donna Kiernan Carter created the Chris Krossing Foundation in aims of helping those who have also lost a loved one in the line of duty recover through equine activities.

Our Mission

The mission here at the Chris Krossing Foundation is to serve those left behind through the healing power of equines.
