MEET THE STAFF

Scott Robison, LTC(R), Camp Cowboy Founder
Scott is a retired U.S. Army special forces veteran, with more than 22 years of active duty service. He has significant expertise in evaluating military technologies and managing rapid acquisition initiatives. Scott also serves as a business consultant and advisor to companies in federal and commercial markets.

Lane Robison, Program Director
Lane has been passionate about horsemanship his entire life, breaking his first horse at the age of nine. Over the years, he has conducted clinics, trained horses, and furthered his education by attending Heartland Horseshoeing School, where he earned his FITS CF certification. Lane has been a part of Camp Cowboy since its early days, even before it officially became Camp Cowboy. In 2019, while working alongside the legendary Larry Mahan, he had the incredible opportunity to return to his family ranch and take the reins in running their horsemanship program.

Jimmy Tucker, CW3(R), Director of Operations
Jimmy served in the U.S. Army for more than 21 years and oversees the daily and session operations of Camp Cowboy. He has been with Camp Cowboy since the fall of 2020, and also serves as the manager of the Robison Ranch.

Joni Evans, MSG(R), Director of Programming and Administration specialist
Joni served in the U.S. Army for more than 26 years, and has been with Camp Cowboy since the spring of 2020. She holds a bachelor of science degree in equine studies from Tarleton State University.

Rob Abney, Director of Education
Rob is a retired school principal and also serves as the treasurer for Camp Cowboy. He has been with Camp Cowboy since 2023. He is also a high school and small college football and basketball official.
